[Of course, I’ve not personally verified this, so this is just ‘information’, but it is interesting. I certainly do not eat white bread as a rule.]

White bread increases cancer risk | the Daily Mail

Eating lots of white bread raises the risk of a cancer that kills thousands of Britons every year, according to new research.

Those who eat five slices a day are almost twice as likely to develop the most common form of kidney cancer compared to those who have one and a half slices.

Scientists put the cause down to refined cereals triggering a surge in blood sugar and insulin levels, which is thought to fuel cancer cell growth.

People should particularly cut down on white bread, which causes the biggest rise in blood glucose levels, and opt for wholemeal varieties instead.

I am not surprised about the white bread. I haven't eaten white bread in years, it has always been multigrain or brown. thanks for sharing.

I got a Diamage A1 (me sarah and jake all have them), I use Yuka's Olympus Stylus 300. I'm checking out a Nikon D80, though unless I am looking for something special I wouldn't go for a digital SLR, and just get a cheaper camera. I want a D80 for public photos, like you do :)

wise. though I'm skeptical of non-organic flours as well. It is so tough to figure out what to eat.

lol *perhaps* you are right. but I've always found that the healthfood stores I visit make different but related healthfood mistakes. Like taking organic veggies and wrapp them in plastic wrap that leaches chemicals back into the food. I'm sure an audit of fresh would show up errors in environmental critical thinking. Don't forget about the organic carrot juice problem last month. :)

I ate at fresh for lunch today. I remembered the carrot juice botulism event after I posted this. I noticed a few un -environmentally fresh things, such as the saran wrap for example.

thus, critical thinking applies to all areas of life. it seems an uphill battle to eat well, really.
