Open Source Radio is Anti Canadian
Nov. 5th, 2005 08:57 amProbably anti-non-american...
I have been sharing the concept of open source with my education students... and I think I mentioned Open Source radio, or should have. My buddy Rochelle has gotten me into podcasting and listening to stuff online. I'm not that much of a listener... cause I'm usually too busy running in circles, but I did start listening to Open Source Radio (http://www.radioopensource.org/). She told me about their call for input (http://www.radioopensource.org/suggest-a-show-november-2005) and how she made suggestions. You can read all about it on her blog (http://www.mazar.ca/2005/11/04/radio-open-source/). The response was fascinating and telling. As they put it Canada "is a country that none of us cares about anyway". Have a read, and share this, if you want to. Definitely comment on it and share your thoughts.
