Guardian has an interesting article that spells it all out: “We mocked their make-up and giggled over their gloom. But the goths are taking over the country.”

Ever since I was accused of being a old school goth by a student in the late 90s, I have thought about this. The student is now a full time archaeologist. Where do goths go and what do they do, and what little traits are left behind. I’m not talking about the burnouts who are running around with fangs at 45, nor the legion who could be following brittney, but it just happens to be marilyn manson, but those for whom, however they phrase it, somehow got engaged with the experience of the anti-enlightenment. You don’t move on from that… you just continue to grow and learn. And now we know where they end up… open wide and say ahhhhhhh!
