MySpace.com has found more than 29,000 registered sex offenders with profiles on the popular social networking website — more than four times the number cited by the company two months ago, North Carolina officials said Tuesday.

MySpace is just too anonymous. The nice thing about say linkedin or facebook is that individuals tend to identify friends they know personally, vs people they only know online. And that the topology of social relations is rather explicit.
