Constructionism - New word for ECE?

Edutrina’s got a great little post on Constructionism-New word for ECE? that tries to unpack constructivism/constructionism:

I have only just recently realized (like an aha moment) the main difference between constructivism and constructionism in education (for me), in terms of the ways we teach and learn. My question for myself now is why did it take so long for me to figure this out? In addition to that, why wasn’t there ever any mention of constructionism in my undergrad education program?
