This is from 2007, so many of you might have seen this, but his data visualization shows something that I've often thought. The developing/overdeveloped nation fiction is a false when taken historically. That is, we are them and they are us at other places in time, and to be honest, they are developing not just faster, but better, than we are/were, with better social benefits with less money and waste. Strange to say, but you have to see it to believe it. His presentation is insightful, statistical, and hilarious all at the same time. I hope you'll watch up to the last second.
"Researcher Hans Rosling uses his cool data tools to show how countries are pulling themselves out of poverty. He demos Dollar Street, comparing households of varying income levels worldwide. Then he does something really amazing."
