Mind Hacks: Goths and mental health: “There’s an informed and critical review of the recent coverage about goths, self-harm and success, over at the Anxiety, Addiction and Depression Treatments blog.”

There’s lots of discussion on this topic now, which I find interesting in light of the usual comments that goths lead to drug abuse and serial killings. Check out the links to the actual articles. As a point of self disclosure, I did my undergraduate thesis on the anti-enlightenment, and spread the word that considering only the light side of life as a generative and creative force is problematic.

Usual? Sure there are a few tight-asses from the religious right who think Marilyn Manson is really Charles Manson's evil spawn, but I doubt most people think that way. Or maybe I'm in denial...
