Just ordered M-AUDIO - FireWire 410 - FireWire Mobile Recording Interface from Saved By Technology!

Planning to use it with Danny Bakan and his arts-based education class at Ryerson to record and release children’s songs under some sort of open source license.

Presonus also makes interesting firewire i/o's as well, very clean d/a converters, affordable too!
