In this session, you will hear from different faculty members on how they use emerging, non-traditional strategies in their teaching; what are the strategies, benefits and challenges.  This includes the use of clickers, blogging, podcasting, inking, and delivering case studies in creative ways.

I'm still more of a traditionalist when it comes to the classroom setting.

What is that? Personally I use technology in the classroom. Language, narrative, dialogue... chalk and slate... room, chairs, doors, windows. As a fan of the hand made paper and the fountain pen, I'm all about technology. That's 99.5% of it.

Blogs, wikis, moos, podcasts make up the other 0.5%. But podcasting is interesting. Last spring I did my podcasts while walking from home to the university, a 30 minute jaunt. And I just talked, meditated on the topic, just as I'd think to myself on the way to school, or perhaps talk with a friend. So when I got to class, I could get down to the teaching and learning, without the monologuing, the lecturing. Lecturing itself has always bothered me for the obvious reasons. I prefer the lab as the location of learning.
