Christmas tree ban ‘unfortunate’ This has been very interesting. Many members of various religious communities are opposing the removal of a christmas tree from a Toronto courthouse. I listened to a TV report where one shiek religious leader related how his children celebrate all festivals: christmas, eid, dewali, hannuka, et al. Other religious leaders suggested that we should be celebrating more faith’s festivals, not fewer.
yeah, that's sad..........

Date: 2006-12-16 12:27 pm (UTC)We have an end of term party which happens right after marks are due (which is almost winter solistice), and we have a start of year and end of year party (september and may).
I don't celebrate Yule in the neo-pagan or wiccan sense, but I do like burning large logs... which is enough for me.

We now have summy holidays, and holidays to the south of france. But I get your point,
which is why I wish everyone a "cool yule", in the non-wiccan/non-neopagan sense. :)
