Is it live? Or is it memorex.
Jan. 8th, 2004 09:35 amI'm back in the LJ saddle with about 40 new faces at KMDI. I'm really feeling more challenged by the group this year, perhaps because it is just me, and there's not another instructor. But I also feel much more excited about it. In both classes, we're going to be going into much greater depth on topics that I've been dying to explore, but have never had the chance to focus on. Let's see what happens. If flames start coming out of my LJ, you'll know that good things are a foot.

Date: 2004-01-08 09:04 pm (UTC)A little late BUT it's the thought right?
Date: 2004-01-15 06:00 pm (UTC)How are you?
I wanted to say Season's Greetings and Happy New Year! I know I'm like 15 days too late (although, knowing all the in's and out's of LJ I could back date it LOL) but I still wanted to express my best wishes.
I guessed why I remembered today was because I borrowed Aaron's textbook and returned it to him today, and I got to thinking how unique your approach was.
Oh, I emailed Jeanne Maurer (the professor who gave me some ideas on the course outline) and she found it “really impressive” and she said that she was going to borrow a few readings for her Geography of Cyberspace class!
Thanks for helping out this computer illiterate (or preliterate as you would call it).
You'll be sorely missed at Rye-High (Ryerson). I know for a fact that the feedback was so good that other people want to take it this term and it’s not offered.
Anyways, I hope you had a restful and much needed vacation this winter.
Take care,
Jag

Date: 2004-01-16 06:59 am (UTC)Happy holidays and season's greetings for you too. Let me know if you get into grad school, eh? Do tell Jeanne Maurer to contact me if I can be of any help. Tell her that I'm working with Dodge and Kitchen on a new Cybergeography FAQ for an upcoming handbook I'm editing.
Please do tell dale that you liked the course. I may come back in the fall. I had to cut down on my teaching this winter for health reasons, but I should be fine for next year.
And thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated.
