I got my TWO OLPCs!
If you’ve got one, don’t want to RTFM, at least look at this site:
One Laptop per Child (OLPC), getting started: opening the laptop.
It took me a while to figure out how to get it to run on a normal wireless network. Actually, I had to upgrade the whole OS, which was loads of fun. Serious. Good olde tyme Lunix commandline stuff. I installed SimCity and Opera web browser. I just want something like an AIM/iChat gateway.
I have to say that this is the coolest bit of tech that I’ve ever touched. And I’ve been more excited to play with this thing that any other bit of computing machinery ever. And this message has been brought to you by the letters Z - O - M - G!
