The Teenager Audio Test - Can you hear this sound?

Clicking the play button below will produce a tone that is generally only heard by people under the age of 25. It has been used as a deterrent device to keep teenagers from loitering in malls and shops, and sounds similar to a buzzing mosquito. Typically the longer you listen to it, the more annoying it gets.

Yes, I can hear it, at age 42, and despite my best efforts to deafen myself by playing my iPod too loud. No, really. I'm trying to reduce my sensitivity to noise!

I wonder how long that's been going on. Shopping used to make feel a bit nauseous, back when I was younger, and honestly, I used to wonder if it was some kind of subliminal thing!
