My buddy shelly sent me this url http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/47919 to an article discussing how blogs are again putting forth information that governments are trying to hide with respect to potentially illegal actions. It is always interesting when this happens. Perhaps it might cause some change. But then again, who in the US would be willing to impeach bush? Afterall, there was no sex involved.

A Disturbance in the Blogosphere: Publishing the UK/US/Uzbekistan Torture Memo. Braving arrest, bloggers have broken the UK’s law of silence with the truth about torture. Bloggers are mass publishing the leaked UK/US/Uzbekistan Torture Memos. The memos are from the correspondences of Craig Murray who was the United Kingdom's ambassador to Uzbekistan. These memos are evidence and a memorandum of record outlining the rendition and torture of US-arrested prisoners in Uzbekistan.

I can't believe that information that was so serious (torture) leaked out through blogging. I'm glad it did, but it just sucks that nothing is being done about. The government always not only tries to find ways to hide things but make it appear like something never even existed!!!

Ya. so many things go on in this world that people don't know about because of how the news is presented and filtered. The nice thing about blogs is that they're beyond the control of big business to a large extent
