thank you for sharing Jason. It was funny to listen when Rochelle asked if anyone used livejournal and when someone asked what blogging was. I felt like a pro! I knew what you were talking about and could relate to the guy who asked about blogging when I just started the class and most of the stuff was Latin to me.

Quite honestly, I don't think there was anyone in the room who didn't know what a blog was. The presentation was not pitched as "introduction to blogging'; in fact, I think the blurb that described the session, the one that was in the program everyone was carrying around, described what a blog was. I really think that question came from the fact that people expected us to start with that question, "what's a blog?" They're all just used to talks like that starting that way, they were thrown when we didn't do it.

From the rest of the questions it was fairly clear that not only did most of those people know what blogs are, they had been teaching with blogs themselves. I found that moment in the presentation very weird.

Like they were testing you guys, I got that feeling at the beggining too. I found their questions to make sense though. I am a type of person who doesn't just absorb anything that authority says is "good", I am sceptical about things until I learn by experience or observation, or otherwise about that subject matter and I like to challange my own thoughts and thougths of others. I strongly believe that this way things are getting improved. I also love when others question my way of thinking because it brings different perspective to my thinking... I am sure you know what I am talking about. Btw, I am one of those ECE students Jason spoke about.
I saw the new webpage and hope it will grow.
