This is a great video, via Jeremy. I like what it says about indoctrination. As one commenter put it, something like, what’s worse, the hegemony of the parents or religion. How do children get to form unbiased viewpoints? Of course, I don’t think anyone has unbiased viewpoints. The language and culture we grow up in doesn’t allow it.

Since I commented I realised 3 things: a) I was actually in grade 5 and not 4; b) that little girl is supposed to be 8 years old (if you go to You Tube site it says so) which means i was only 1 year older than she; c) To come out with the stuff she's saying, she would have been seriously coached/given a script. My parents did not coach me to say that in class. When I reported it at dinner that night under the ongoing "what did you do in school today?" theme, my parents were pretty shocked. A year later I was sent to (you know where) school and then I was coached NOT to go around telling people what my religion was(n't).

Ok, now I'm done.
